Hester Verwey

I see myself as an avid and passionate student, facilitator and coach of Wholeness (Holism), Emotional Intelligence, Leadership, Interpersonal and Team Growth, and Spiritual Leadership. This passion has enabled me to gain in-depth exposure to a variety of industries as both a facilitator and coach. My exposure also includes working with International Companies and studying at International Institutions.

My formal employment history includes exposure in Education, Local Government, the Private Sector and Consulting.

As a small business owner, I was the founding member in more than one small business, which includes an Accredited Training Company, an Organisational Development Consultancy, an Accommodation Business and lastly a Pre-School.
My exposure to entrepreneurship and the phases of small business development and growth, as well as the challenges that business owners face, is thus based on personal experience. This enables me to offer well rounded business consulting services.

Why Development is Important to me

I have used my skills and passion to focus mainly on Organisational Learning, Personal Growth and Leadership Development through the development and facilitation of customised leadership, team development, mentorship and personal development programmes and interventions for different industries.

One of my strengths is the integration of customised holistic, creative and fun-filled experiences into leadership, team, and personal mastery interventions. My methodology includes the link of an experience to a model, and to effective assessment tools which can ensure internalisation of new behaviours and establishment of new thinking patterns.

As a registered Executive Leadership Coach, I have been involved with executive coaching and mentorship for leaders and managers, professional persons and executive role players in large corporates and small companies.

In My E- Learning, I have culminated years of experience into the EQ, Time Management and Leadership modules of the My E-learning programme and will provide guidance on this subject as a mentor and a coach.

My favourite quote would describe the current phase of my life well:

“When all these pieces come together, not only does your work move towards greatness, but so does your life. For in the end it is impossible to have a great life unless you have a meaningful life. Perhaps, then, you might gain the rare tranquility that comes from knowing that you have had a hand in creating something of intrinsic excellence that makes a contribution. Indeed you might even gain that deepest of satisfactions: knowing that your short time here on earth has been well spent, and that it mattered.
