Every person is unique and, depending on the situation and environment, prefers a specific behavioural style. Although people feel most comfortable when they can use their own behavioral style, people will inevitably experience discomfort and awkwardness when they are around people who have a different style from their own. Successful people however have the ability to align their inner potential with their external behaviour.

The aim of the assessment and supporting training /coaching is to assist people to understand their own styles and also those of others. It will also assist them to develop the skills to be more flexible around other people and adapt their behaviour to the needs of others or the demands of a specific situation.

DISC and Your own profile

The process include a basic assessment tool which will provide individuals with insight into their own preferred behavior style described under the acronym DISC.

DISC explains the following:

  • Dominant: Your urge to be in control of your environment and achieve objectives. “D” wants to face challenges and win.
  • Influencing: Your urge to motivate others, express yourself and be heard. “I” wants to persuade and influence others
  • Steady: Aims to maintain stability and harmony. “S” wants to support others and ensure well-ordered relationships
  • Cautious: Want to do right things and do them right. “C” wants to avoid conflict and pays attention to accuracy and precision

The information to draw up this profile is derived from a simple online or hard copy DISC questionnaire and will provide the individual with an analysis in a practical graph and an overview that drives their approach to life and work. A series of graphs can also be extracted that looks at the individual’s different motivations in different situations.
