Spiritual Leadership

Spiritual Leadership

Leaders are everywhere ready to be equipped to take their positions as Kings in the Workplace. Yet, they have been hurt, are stepping back, wondering if it is worth their while…

I am convinced that “NOW” is YOUR time. Your time to be repositioned as a KING in the workplace.

Do you passionately believe that there is a calling on your life to lead? Then step forward and be prepared to be equipped.

This journey will include your personal discovery and unleashing of….

  • Purpose
  • Vision
  • Dialogue
  • Creativity
  • Peace
  • Prosperity

God wants to do a new thing for You.

“When you passionately equip yourself to be positioned as a leader in business, you will be able to trigger the ‘renewal of thoughts’ in your Business Community”.

Leaders are to inspire a shared vision. My leadership strengths are to create an understanding of God’s vision for the future and enlist individuals in the common vision by appealing to them to see the meaning of their work and paint a big picture of their purpose and calling. I firmly believe that God has a plan for the business world and each individual within it.

What does spiritual Intelligence entail?

Ultimate wholeness, or holism, can also be referred to as Spiritual Intelligence (SQ).

The quote below illustrates this:

“Of course, our society puts a great deal of emphasis on the functions of the mental body. We believe in brain power. We are taught to perceive our world through the medium of our brains. We educate for mental achievement. It’s supposed to be detached, scientific, and “real.” In practice, with our brain in a dominant position, it is impossible to realise our human potential, or to know truth, or to develop our spiritual intelligence.” – Michal Levin

What is Spirit?

The concept or word Spirit derives its meaning from the Latin word for ‘wind’ or ‘breath’. It is literally a ‘wind’ that is blowing through people, the principle that makes them alive and human. Whilst IQ and EQ are naturally bounded, and can be quantitatively measured, SQ continually seeks a broader perspective and a bigger picture. As such it resists quantification. Indeed, its essence is not about quantity, but quality.

The ability to acknowledge the existence of such a “wind of breath” is called spirituality.

How does spirituality affect your business?

Our turbulent, volatile and chaotic world has created the need for a new generation of leaders. Leaders who understand their purpose to act at a time like this. Leaders who will step forward and conquer their environment through strong values and spiritual principles. Salman Rusdie, a renowned British novelist and Booker Prize winner, explained the phenomenon as follows:

“One of the extraordinary things about human events is that the unthinkable becomes thinkable.”

Modern society is displaying a widespread growing interest in spirituality. The study of spirituality in the workplace, as the key driver of individual purpose as well as business success, can no longer be seen as a peripheral concern for management.

Business testimonies and research results provide a strong case for management to explore the possibilities of strategic positioning of spirituality as a core driver of the following important aspects:

  • business vision, mission and values
  • individual commitment
  • a learning culture
  • leadership performance; and ultimately
  • business results
